My Baby Takes the Morning Train.

I've become a semi-functioning member of society.
Me
I'm starting an assistantship at Mr. Small's Funhouse. It's basically an old church and school house that Rusted Root bought and turned into a theater/studio/skate park. I'll be working in the studio and the theater. Perhaps brushing up on my skateboarding when I'm on break.

It's unpaid of course, but it is my first real job in the field, (besides teaching some lady how to use ACID to remix a David Bowie song.) I was told I'll be a high functioning worker in the studio but I'll also be doing a great deal grunt/gopher activities I'm sure. I'll be working Tuesdays and Thursdays from now until I have no idea when.
Josh
I'm excited to be working tomorrow because it is the Anti-Flag and Big D show. So I'll probably be helping them move all of their gear and getting them set up. Perhaps I'll get some free shirts or something.

(I'm going to be posting some old photos from school, Enjoy)

Red Hand Patty

Went down to the Harp & Fiddle last night.
Stage
We saw a band called Red Hand Patty. I enjoy Irish pub music more and more each time I hear it. The accordion player is a friend of ours. We hung out with some friend that we haven't seen in years. Hopefully they enjoyed our company as much as we enjoyed theirs.

After the show we went to the office. It was street jam on Walnut last night so needless to say it was packed. Penny met us there after her all day country extravaganza to join in our festivities of running the jukebox with punk music all night long.
Penny & Me
My ex was there with her cadre of man friends as well and oddly enough Penny and one of Emily's friend Justin are old pals. They used to hang out all the time. It's always a nice feeling when your current girlfriend and ex girlfriend can sit around together talking about you. Actually they are really nice to each other and seemingly get along quite well.

Pat Robertson.

A letter he once signed described feminism as a "socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practise witchcraft and become lesbians."

When you're crazy and own your own television network I guess you can say just about anything you like. You've got to love the Christian Fundamentalists. Perhaps you should pick a better poster boy for your network Pat. One that actually believes in some of the christian views. Here are some of my pics of people to replace you, while still getting your loving message across to the public.

Sorry for the lapse in posting.

Apologies to all of my die hard blog fans for the recent lack in posting. Not a whole lot has been going on as of late and I refuse to post blogs about what I ate for breakfast.

I urge of you gentlefolk out there to look beyond the past and into the future. Embrace the ones around you for they may not always be apart of your life.

Here we go.

I was going to write a long description of the bus adventures. I thought I'd just post photos and let you, the reader, make up in your own mind what went down. It's a choose your own adventure post today. Enjoy.

Jobs.

I made my dream of becoming a professional bouncer come true.
Lights 3
I worked at the office last night. I figured I was there all the time anyway, they might as well start paying me. Sang walked past me and I was really bummed I didn't have my camera at the ready. I was hoping to get some photos of him up and moving.

Sang

We met a passed out asian man outside Village Pizza last night.
Sang & I
Sang.

We weren't being jerky towards him. We took a few photos. We woke him up when his glasses fell off so he wouldn't drop them to the ground. We tried to help him out when he almost vomited on himself.
Sang
He, unbeknownst to us, works at Village Pizza. One of his fellow employees came out and told us he had 4 Iron City pounders right in a row then went outside and sat on the bench.

He woke up after a few minutes of us talking to his fellow staff member. Angry little asian man, I'm pretty sure he said he was going to bite my ass. He was doing math on his way in telling everyone that 2 plus 2 is 10. Then after that he said wait, no it's 5.

Don't worry. Party-Bus Post is coming.

Weekend of Debauchery

This weekend has been planned for over a month.
Penny 3
One word. Hyphenated...Party-Bus. Excitement & anticipation reel over our collective conscious. There was talking from some of the ladies of actually going to get 'Party-Bus Outfits.' You know it's going to be quite the scene if people are going to buy new apparel just for the evening. Truly an amazing time should be had. Of course I'll have my camera to capture people in mid debauch. Hopefully I'll have amazing blog fodder when I return from our one night excursion.

Visa?

A request to the masses. Blog-landers does anyone have any info on Work Visa's for other countries? Actually any Visa info would be helpful.

Family Band

I saw Robert Randolph & the Family Band last night.
Band
Great day. Great music. Great atmosphere. Great company.
They played out at Hartwood Acres which is one of the free venues that puts on shows throughout the summer on Sunday nights for all you out-of-towners. They usually book some pretty big names, plus the price is right.

He totally rocked the hell out of me and all my compatriots. We had a fairly large crowd with us for the evenings entertainment. I have to say some of my fondest memories of youth were spent at that ginormous field. Crazy suit & tie hippies released from their weekly shackles dancing and swaying to the music. Bikers and bluesmen sitting on blankets and lawn chairs. Naked babies roaming free getting licked by dogs wearing bandanas.
Dance Party
This shows crowd was unlike the others, however I noticed that this one included the Abercrombie and H&M crowd of fratmen and sororitywoman. It's nice to have common denominators that bring us all to the same spot. They fill in the proverbial 'Chex-mix' of live jam band shows quite well.

Family fun.

Noah and I went to 'Hooters' for dinner last night.
Bowling Game
Nothing to special, just figured we'd go to a nice sit down family restaurant. We walked in and saw a 10 year old boy eating with his dad while a waitress spilled out of her top pouring their drinks. I then saw a family birthday party in the back room for a young girl, perhaps 17. Her mother and brothers calling all of the endowed waitresses over to take her up and humiliate her with a birthday song in front of everyone. The family of course took pictures while they let out screams of laughter as their daughter was being sung to by these women with huge chesticles. I believe her mother then asked for an application to work at the establishment. Interesting what we choose to do with our freedom.
